A Month of Birthdays
What Better way to Celebrate!
When I asked the girls how they wanted to kick off the month of birthdays it may come as no surprise that sweets were at the top of their list ;). So off we went to pick our favorites…
Betty Crocker™ Birthday Cookie Cups
After heading to Walmart, we decided to follow a delicious Betty Crocker™birthday cupcake recipe (in the words of my youngest, “why would we make one cake when we can make 12 little ones?’), along with delicious Betty Crocker™birthday cookie cups. You can find all Betty Crocker™cake mixes and frostings at Walmart!
We started with the Betty Crocker™ cookie cups. Aside from the required butter and water, everything was included! The girls got to work mixing the dough right away.
Next, they placed the dough in the cupcake liners and pushed down flat.
Into the oven they went to be baked as directed. Once out, I immediately pushed down the center to create a dip in the dough. I chose to use a moldable miniature spatula for the ideal shape.
Once cooled completely, we added the pre-packed frosting, and finished off with the sprinkles!
Betty Crocker™ Birthday Cupcakes
Once cool, it was time to frost! The girls chose “pink” frosting… i.e. Betty Crocker™ cherry frosting and it did NOT disappoint!
Topping our cupcakes with all the sprinkles we could manage, we were done!
