Now more than ever, you and your family deserve a sweet treat to celebrate the end of the week! Both delicious and fun, pudding pops are a classic summer dessert that conjure up nostalgic memories of the ice cream truck arriving on a hot summer evening. While the ice cream truck may be on hold this summer, you can still celebrate #SummerFridays with homemade pudding pops of your very own. Even better, boost your family’s nutrition with a secret ingredient – Mission Avocados!
A special thank you to Mission Avocados for sponsoring this post. Please note that as always, all opinions are 100% my own and I only share items that I use and trust.
Why Mission Avocados
Simply put, not all avocados are created equal. Have you ever bought an avocado only to realize that it has already gone bad or is far from the time of prime ripeness? If so, you know the above statement couldn’t be more true. Mission Avocados are known as the “world’s finest avocados” for a reason. After more than 35 years in the business, Mission Avocados prides itself in becoming the global supplier of ripe and ready-to-eat avocados. As a result, if you want to take your Chocolate Avocado Pudding Pops to the next level, then make sure you select Mission Avocados!
How to tell if your Mission Avocados are ripe and ready for your Pudding Pops?
Did you know that color is not the test of a ripe avocado? Instead you want to feel for uniform softness (see the chart below).
Customizable Pudding Pops
Made with a whole Mission Avocado blended directly in with the pudding, these Chocolate Avocado Pudding Pops are both easy and fun- the perfect recipe for involving your kids. Fully customizable with endless mix-in combinations (think strawberries, s’mores, plain, Oreos, sprinkles, and more!), it’s time to get creative with your entire family while revamping a summer classic- but with a nutritious twist!
