Let’s face it, despite our best efforts at keeping them safe, kids get hurt. From their wobbly first steps, to tripping mid running stride… bumps, bruises, scrapes, and boo-boos are in your future as a parent.
That said, it goes without saying that you want to be prepared. Simply having a first aid kit handy in optimal locations (i.e. your home, car, diaper bag, purse) can make all the difference when those tears start to flow and it’s time to play their favorite nurse. But… being prepared means more than having a couple of medical supplies on hand, it means having the right medical supplies on hand.
Do you have the “right” items on your first aid kit list?… I didn’t.
As a protective mama bear who works in the medical field, it may come as no surprise to you that I pride myself in being prepared with the necessary supplies. Supplies that have come in handy more times than I care to count. But what may come as a surprise, is that up until most recently I not only failed to have a vital component in my kit, but instead had the wrong one altogether. I was lacking one of the most important items on my first aid kit list. An item that (if you haven’t already) you too will want to add to your first aid kit list ASAP!
Amongst the band-aids, alcohol wipes, gauze, and medication, I had an antibiotic ointment. An ointment that I’ve grown up with and consequently failed to question until a recent struggle with antibiotics and allergies (more on that another time) forced me to take a second look. This well-known ointment not only can cause allergic reactions, but it can also lead to antibiotic resistance, and includes worrisome active ingredients.
Here I was trying my hardest to limit my children’s antibiotic and chemical exposure through organic foods, safe sunscreens and soap, wholesome cleaning products, etc. and time and time again I exposed them to a rather toxic ointment.
CUROXEN
It was then that I became aware of a different ointment. One that was considered all-natural and organic, one that promises to speed healing time, kills more germs than other antibiotic based ointments (5x as much!), has no risk of allergic reaction, and does not lead to antibiotic resistance due to containing no synthetic antibiotics. The ointment is CUROXEN, and simply put… I fell in love.
By swapping out the old antibiotic ointment for CUROXEN, I not only have the peace of mind that I am doing what is best for my children (and me), but I am also speeding up the healing process at the same time. In fact, CUROXEN kills over 5x more germs! All research can be found here.
CUROXEN comes in both a pediatric and adult version, with the main difference being that the pediatric version also has vitamin D.
You can find both at Amazon by following the link here and promptly adding them to your first aid kit list.
CURXOEN’s benefits reminds me of the famous quote by Maya Angelou, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” Antibiotic ointments of the past worked great, and to be honest got the job done. But then Curoxen arrived and with it’s benefits clear, it is safe to say that we now know better and as a result for our children (and ourselves)… can do better.
Have you added CUROXEN to your first aid kit list? I’d love to hear your feedback!
