Happy Valentine’s Day… or, should I say “Hoppy” Valentine’s Day!
If you have found your way to this post then chances are you have interest in creating the perfect frog Valentine’s Day card! Perhaps it is your or your child’s love for frogs, or your interest in creating a non-candy Valentine’s Day card. Or, maybe it is neither of those, but you just love the idea of DIYing your Valentine’s Day cards as compared to buying them. Whatever the case may be, you have come to the right place!

Why a Frog Valentine’s Day Card?
Last year, for my daughter’s first ever school Valentine’s Day (first opportunity to hand out her very own Valentine’s Day cards) she told me that she wanted to 1) help make her own cards and 2) include a toy that her friends would love. After a little digging around, and stumbling upon the idea of a frog, my daughter became super “hoppy”… I mean happy! (Sorry, the pun may never grow old.)
After designing a printable and ordering the tiny frogs, the entire process was quick, easy, and lots of fun- creating the perfect bonding opportunity with my little one.
How to Make Your Very Own Frog Valentine’s Day Card
Ready to make your own? Follow the steps below!
- After coming up with your needed number of Valentine’s Day cards, start by ordering the perfect frogs. After a bit of digging, my daughter and I fell in love with these because they allowed for the added jumping feature. These ended up being a big hit with the recipients and were the most affordable ones found!
. - Download the Frog Valentine’s Day printables (by entering in your name and email below).
.
- Print as many as desired. The printables I have designed include 6 cards per sheet of paper and are predominantly white to limit the amount of ink necessary to print. Furthermore, they read, “I’m so “HOPPY” we are FRIENDS!” and include a location for your child to write his or her name after the phrase, “Happy Valentine’s Day!”. Note: If you do not wish to mat the cards on heavier cardstock, I would recommend printing on a heavier white cardstock to withhold the weight of the attached frog.
.
. - If you chose not to print on heavy white cardstock as noted above, you will next want to mat the white cards on a colored cardstock and cut out with a border.
. - Allow your child to write their names on each card before attaching the frogs.
. - Use Washi Tape (my favorite and the exact design I used in the pictures can be found here) to attach the frogs to the Frog Valentine’s Day cards.
.
That’s it! Super simply and super fun!
Wishing you a very “Hoppy” Valentine’s Day!
