You’ve seen it on greeting cards, t-shirts, coffee mugs, and home decor signs. You’ve seen it… EVERYWHERE! The amazing skill and ability to “hand letter” is one that you have been drooling over for quite some time! As intrigued as you are, you just don’t know where to start and you aren’t in the market to shell out both time and money for a course in order to learn. Instead, you are looking for exactly how to master hand lettering in no time at all and for FREE!
This was me. I was fascinated by the beautiful talent that so many seemed to possess; yet, I didn’t really have the time (busy mama here!) to dedicate to a strict and intensive course. As it turns out, I was NOT alone. After posing the question to the members of my private Facebook group, “Creative Mamas!“, I was shocked to learn just how many others had a similar interest!
And so was born a “hand lettering challenge” for busy individuals everywhere!

Recommended Markers/Pens
With endless pens and markers specific to hand lettering available, you may be wondering which one is best. In truth, while many may end up having their “favorites”, I would recommend starting with the Tombow Dual Brush PenĀ as it is rated #1 by hand lettering pros time and time again. I would also recommend the Tombow Dual Brush Pen Art Markers, Bright, 10-PackĀ and the Tombow Dual Brush Pen Art Markers 10-Pack, PastelĀ when you are ready to add color to your hand lettering fun!
Note: many have had great luck with standard Crayola Broad Point Washable MarkersĀ early on in their hand lettering journey!
