With Easter right around the corner, you may be wondering exactly what you (“cough cough“, or should I say the “Easter Bunny”) should be putting in your child’s Easter basket. You also may be curious as to what creative or practical ideas other moms are incorporating into their child’s Easter basket. Well, wonder no more!
Mama Tested-Mama Approved
As part of my “Mama Tested-Mama Approved” series, I polled a collection of moms to ask this exact question. (Do you want to be a part of the polls in the future and receive the chance to win amazing giveaways in the process? You can join the free Facebook group here.)
With a wide variety of creative answers, the most interesting theme that emerged was spring and summer related fun- right down to bathing suits! (Why didn’t I think of that?!) With the top selections being: bath toys, sunglasses, bubbles, and swim suits!
Wondering what else these mamas used to fill their child’s Easter baskets?

I do try to pick a theme each year. We often do spring/ summer and put kites, sunglasses, flip flops, bathing suits in the baskets. Anytime I can put something in the basket I’d be buying anyway is a huge win for me. One year we did science baskets and I put geode kids, stomp rockets, magnifying glasses, mentos and diet soda bottles, etc for some hands on OUTDOOR exploration fun. Now that my boys are nearly (or early) teens it’s getting a bit harder… though last year I gave my baker a baking basket with colorful and printed cupcake wrappers, sprinkles of all kinds, gel food coloring, pastry bags, and a cupcake cookbook.

Oh my goodness! How creative!! I love the themed basket ideas! I also agree about the huge win when you would be buying it anyways ;). A science basket is definitely going on my list for the future! Thank you for this!

This is a good list. I would have never thought PJ’s. I am not a fan of allllll candy. I still have Valentines Candy hanging around. I shall have to hit up my dollar store to add non food items. #thatfridaylinky
Lindsay says
Thank you, Tracy!! Yes, I too like to avoid all the candy when possible :). Hitting up the local dollar store is a great idea!

Loved your ideas! With 5 girlgrands between us, 18″ doll clothes and accessories (Barbies and princesses, too) that I find on sale and make (often from thrifted clothes or cloth) go over well here!
